Dave Spillard Plastering

I’ve known Dave for about 20 years as he plastered my previous house - major renovation encompassing 4 rooms downstairs and 5 beds with baths and included ceilings. Dave has just done a Rendering job at my new house too. Always very impressed with his work and has a easy going nature and cheerful disposition. He makes plastering look soooo easy even on stilts! I can’t fault his work and he’s tidy as well. Very happy to reference

Dave Spillard and his co workers are polite, neat tidy workers and a pleasure to have in the house. His workmanship is so good that even other tradesmen comment on how good it is! We would not use anybody else to do our plastering work.

Dave is an excellent plasterer. He was able to fit in our job swiftly and performed the task in an excellent, clean and tidy manner in record time! The finish was excellent - can recommend Dave very highly. 2nd time we've used him and would definitely do so again.

We have used Dave previously for plastering work so when we moved house and needed further rooms doing we didn't hesitate in contacting him again. Dave quoted and carried out the work in a really fast timescale and as was the case before, the finished result was excellent. Dave is reliable and professional and his work is of a very high standard. We have some further plastering work to do in the future so will definitely continue to use Dave for that.

As always happens when buying a rather sad house, a complete rewire turns into an almost complete re plaster. Wallpaper was hiding old plaster which was failing, so Dave turned a bad situation into a good one by adding insulation boarding and acoustic boarding. He did a great job, turning up when he said he would, working collaboratively with the electricians and other trades and still meeting his predicted timescale.

I had Dave in to plaster our lounge a few years ago and he did a brilliant job. We have just had Dave back to do our store - He has tanked the outer walls, installed insulated boards, plastered all the walls and raised the floor by about 300mm - and once again done a brilliant job. His workmanship is fantastic and he is a pleasure to deal with. I will have him back in the future to replaster our passage and dining room walls. I would not hesitate to recommend him!!!

Dave recently came round to plaster the walls and ceiling in our bedroom when we discovered all the plaster falling off when redecorating. He was really lovely to work with and gave advice on the best course of action. I can't recommend him highly enough. He was on time, friendly, easy to get hold of on the phone, clean and tidy and most importantly did an excellent job. The plastering is finished to a really high standard.

Dave is one of the good guys. He had the unfortunate experience of doing a small plastering job for us which turned into a long and probably pretty stressful afternoon for him - through absolutely no fault of his own. He was brilliant and stuck around for as long as required to finish the job (which was far from straightforward!). We were very grateful for his professionalism and would absolutely use him again (although I expect he might not want to come back! Ha). He was punctual, responsive, polite and did a fantastic job. 10/10

I have used Dave Spillard on numerous occasions for both external rendering and internal plastering and have always found his work to be of the highest standard. Dave’s attention to detail around windows, doors, fireplaces, etc., is particularly good with exceptionally straight re-enforced edges, and the re-instatement of lights and sockets when finished is always appreciated. Moreover, he is the tidiest tradesman I have used, leaving the property as neat and clean as he found it. I would not hesitate to recommend Dave to my best friend!

Without doubt the best plasterer in Sussex. Dave did the most amazing job on our rendering and plastering on our extension. An absolute stickler for detail he has done a faultless job whilst working tidily and efficiently. Would 100% recommend.

Dave has just completed a tricky job for me making good and then plastering a defective ceiling in an old cottage with lots of exposed beams. I found him very helpful and professional. The job was completed on time, in accordance with the estimate and with very little mess. I was very pleased with the result and would happily use him again
